Cameron Treloar

Cameron is a professional rugby player for Bordeaux in the French Top 14. He was born in the small town of Cooma, NSW, where he played both rugby union and league. Cameron’s interest in union was nurtured at the famous rugby nursery St Joseph’s College, where he played two seasons in the 1st XV, going on to represent the Australian Schools team in 1998.

After leaving school, Cameron joined Warringah Rugby Club where he went on to make over 100 first grade appearances. He joined the Waratahs’ academy in 2004, winning two state caps. In 2005 he joined the Queensland Reds, earning 20 caps before signing with Italian championship side Calvisano for two seasons. After a further season in the Italian Top 10 with Prato, Cameron moved to France in 2010 to join the Top 14 with Bayonne. From there he transferred to Bordeaux, winning promotion to the Top 14 and a credible 8th place in their first season in the top league. Cameron is happily married to Belinda, enjoys surfing and has a huge interest in the cinema.
